Meiro Koizumi received his BA from Chelsea College of Art and Design in London in 2002, and was the 2001 recipient of the Beck’s Futures Award for Film and Video, student category.  He has completed residencies at Arcus Project, Ibaraki, Japan (2003) and Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten, Amsterdam (2005-6). Recent solo exhibitions include Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery, New York; Dicksmith Gallery, London;  and Annet Gelink Gallery/The Bakery, Amsterdam. Recent group exhibitions include Rehad! at Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam. In 2008 there will be a retrospective of his work to date at the Frye Art Museum, Seattle.  Meiro Koizumi lives and works in Tokyo.
