Ham Jin
Ham Jin (b. 1978 Seoul) received nationwide attention for his debut solo exhibition in 1999, which introduced his microscopic clay figures, while still attending Kyungwon University. He takes his subjects from small to trivial, and makes figures as small as a fingernail. Often incorporating dead insects or other objects in his sculpture, his unique insight obtains from an obsessive and personal vision of the world. His exhibitions include the new generation exhibition at the New Culture Arts Center, the Sutra Exhibition at the Total Art Exhibition, Leaving An Island... at the Pusan City Art Museum, and a children's program at the Art Sunjae Gallery. He also had the first private exhibition, Fancy Diary, at the Sarubia Coffee Shop. He is represented by PKM Gallery in Seoul. Ham Jin lives and works in Seoul.
