Kan Xuan 阚萱 (b. 1972 Anhui Province) graduated from the China Art Academy in Hangzhou in 1997, and completed a fellowship at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam in 2002-2003. In addition to numerous shows in China, she has exhibited her video work around the world, including shows at IKON Gallery (UK), the Villa Arson (France), the ARCO2004 Festival (Spain), the São Paulo Modern Art Museum (Brazil), the Zacheta National Gallery (Poland) and the National Gallery of Indonesia.  Kan Xuan lives and works in Beijing.
